Boston is a big city, and "chiropractor in Boston" covers a lot of ground, so here is exactly where we are. Our office is at 201 Broadway in Cambridge, a 6-minute walk up Broadway from Kendall/MIT, which is one Red Line stop from Charles/MGH and two from Park Street. From Downtown Crossing, that is about ten minutes. From Beacon Hill or the West End, the walk over the Longfellow Bridge takes about 15 minutes and lands you at the station. Driving, Storrow Drive to Leverett Circle and over the O'Brien Highway takes about ten minutes outside rush hour. There is free street parking and metered parking on Broadway and the side streets, and the entrance is on the first floor.
The condition Boston residents search for most before finding us is back and neck pain, and the pattern behind it is familiar: eight or nine hours at a desk in the Financial District or the Seaport, then a seat on the Red Line or a slow crawl along Storrow with the shoulders up around the ears. Sitting loads the lower lumbar discs and shortens the hip flexors. A screen set too low pulls the head forward and overworks the muscles at the base of the skull. Neither is an injury. Both become one over months.
Dr. Bromberg examines the whole spine, not just the sore spot. Adjustment restores motion to joints that have stiffened, Active Release Technique handles the tissue that has shortened around them, and a few targeted exercises keep the gains between visits. Our desk worker's guide covers what you can fix at your workstation on your own.
If you are closer to a particular neighborhood, we have pages with directions for Back Bay, South Boston and Charlestown. No referral is needed. We accept most major insurance plans and verify your specific benefits before treatment. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm, with same-day slots held for patients in pain. Call (617) 494-1166.
